Synopsis
A group of hunters sails the vast skies to hunt dragons for their living.
Story
After finishing this episode, I wondered if it was really necessary to kill dragons. In one of the scenes, Jiro has stated those gigantic creatures rarely attack people directly. With that being said, it can mean that dragons would only attack if they're feeling threatened. It wasn't mentioned that they hunt humans for food either. So does this anime only endorse hunting rare creatures? Doesn't sound good to me.
Characters
Below are five characters who seem to matter the most.
Takita - A newbie who has a soft spot for dragons, hopefully, she stays that way.
Mika - The "I don't give a F" member of Quin Zaza. He'll get a stroke if he continues to consume a lot of meat.
Vannie - Most calm and gorgeous female member, also a good drinking buddy.
Jiro - The most serious of the crew. With his personality, he can take over as the next captain.
Gibbs - He's the boss, but he seems to have no control of Mika. He better show him who's the one in charge.
Writing / Storyboarding
With so many characters, I'm sure the writers had a hard time giving everyone screentime, especially in the scenes where they were hunting -- which for me looked spectacular. So props to them for a job well done.
Artwork / Animation
First, the dragons here are not what you'd really expect. Second, the animation looks stunning, it's not entirely 2D, nor 3D. (If someone knows, please enlighten me.)
Music / Sound
This will be the first thing you will notice at the beginning because the music and sound effects will just hit you on the right spot.
A bit disappointed with the opening song though, I was expecting it would be similar to
Strange Dawn's. And the ending wasn't that good either, verse part sounded good, but the chorus ruined it.
