Synopsis
Uzoi has learned the dark secret of Haitora, and it made her think whether they can still be a family.
Story
Haitora's past was exactly the story of how the Grotesques took over the world. Did I feel pity for the humans? Yes, but, remember they wouldn't be in that situation if they didn't exasperate the other races.
And to be honest, their conflict was synonymous with ours. I don't want to mention any specific race, religion, etc. but, some of the wars that are happening right now were because of one group looking down on the other and thinking of them as someone less important.
Characters
The relationship between Uzoi and Haitora was a great example of how bonds that were shattered by dark pasts, can be reformed through love and understanding.
Writing / Storyboarding
On the first time that Uzoi cried (after she felt bad for trying to kill Somali) and hug Haitora, her father figure didn't console her. But in the ending scene, where they had let all their feelings and thoughts be heard, Haitora has finally able to hug her back. It showed us how a very short scene at the start, can have a bigger meaning and impact at the end.
Artwork / Animation
Great use of CGI for the Dragon Twister, and for the art of Canterbird... it wasn't scary enough for me.
Music / Sound
Some gorgeous, dramatic BGM were present on the scenes where Haitora was the main focus.
