SynopsisCaiman and Nikaido's friendship was put on the test in this season finale.
StorySo... I was wrong when I thought we'll finally see Nikaido activate her time magic, didn't realize there will be another season, silly me. Was I disappointed? A bit, but as long they continue to give us quality episodes, with unique bizarre concepts, I don't mind.
And instead of the usual dark-comedy, the ending was a dark-dramedy, and I loved it.
The part where it's just the two of them accepting each other's flaws and promising to continue being friends was a nice way to put an end to whatever doubt they had, and finally move forward to their journey.
CharactersIn the end, En's family didn't look like antagonists. In fact, I fell in love with the duo of Shin and Noi, and to Fujita and Ebisu as well.
The true opponent was the man in the shadows who sliced Nikaido... he's the mystery that needs to be unlocked.
And best character for this finale goes to Asu! From healing Nikaido to transforming Chota to look like Nikaido... he did everything he could to save his dear friend.
The second story started with such a well-choreographed, or rather, well-written fight scene. That mid-air, spinning kick of Nikaido was something even Chunli will be staggered.
Speaking of fight scenes, this was something that I was truly amazed at. Unlike in other anime where the storyboard for the killing was just random slicing, shooting, etc. Here, most were detailed, just like in the first part where Risu's friend attacked a member of the Cross-Eyes, he sliced the nose so precisely.
And if you could remember the time when Nikaido fought Noi, she sliced the front area of Noi's eyes to blind her. It's not just any part of the eye, it was the middle. And the cool part was, she didn't use any weapon, just her fingertips.

And I've already talked about how amazing the fight scene of our protagonists.. so I'm just gonna say hands-down to the animation of this anime, and I would like to give a big round of applause to all the animators involved in this project.
Every bgm was perfect for each scene, may it be a comedy, action, or drama. We also got a new ending called "404" by [K]NoW_NAME:NIKIIE & AIJ.
All in all, we had seven songs in total, including the opening. I won't be surprised if, in the next season, there will be multiple opening, and one ending (lol).
PS: Members of Cross-Eyes were revealed at the end.
