Synopsis
Somali and Golem have met with the head librarian, who turned out to be the author of The Chronicles of Haraiso.
Story
It baffled me that if it's other species, the humans will be violent towards them, but when it comes to a golem, they will treat him like a god.
I'm sure it's not because of his more decent appearance compared to others, 'cause even a human-looking witch was something they will consider to kill.
It might be because Haraiso lent them land, but they could have just disposed of him after. So was it because they just really need a god? Just like how humans in real life tend to worship one?
In the case of Isolde, when she told that it took a thousand years for her to share the story about the human race, and yet even after that long, nothing about them changed. I found it as a great comparison to how some of us are still indifferent from the people in the past. An obvious example was those, who at this age and time, were still racist.
Characters
Out of the four important minor characters in this episode, Isolde Nebsolv had the most major role in the entire story. But if we're talking about the core of history, Feodora Nebsolv, Haraiso, and Miya, were the center of it.
Writing / Storyboarding
The minor twist was a great addition, Isolde being the author, not just someone who borrowed a book.
And the scene where Feodora had her spirit crushed, after seeing what the humans have done on the grotesque, was done well. Her facial expression really showed how appalled she was.
Artwork / Animation
Haraiso's design was a toned-down version of the current Golem. I wish it had more details.
Music / Sound
It was dramatic music all throughout, I particularly like the one where Haraiso was telling Feodora the perfect time to leave their island.

An otaku since the mid-90's. I consider Evangelion as the most influential anime. My favorite classic films are Laputa: Castle in the Sky and Spirited Away.
