Synopsis
Our high schoolers have taken the initial steps on how they will make their own anime.
Story
This was a very insightful episode regarding the necessities you will need to start an anime production. We've also got to learn about background art, single stationary cell, etc.
On the part where they were talking about the timing of intercharacter conversation, details of the settings, sound effects for texture, etc... those things were literally being shown in the scene. And me, as a reviewer, can totally agree with what they were discussing.
Characters
While we learned a lot of the basics in animation from the other two (as usual), Sayaka played her role like what a real manager will do. She encouraged her friends, and in the most crucial scenario, it was she who rose to the occasion to get the things they needed.
Writing / Storyboarding
When I was watching this and thought the episode was about to end, I looked on the timeline and was surprised to see there's still more than half left remaining. In other words, ten minutes of content from this show could be equalized to a whole episode of some anime.
My point was, the writing on this was so lengthy, you will feel a lot of things have already happened in just half of the running time.
Oh, and Kanamori had the funniest and most savage lines in this episode:
Artwork / Animation
The scenes where Asakusa summons a
reality marble (a term from
Fate series), to project her imagination had the most jaw-dropping art and animation. And the river on the intro looked real as well.
Music / Sound
The BGM that we get to hear most of the time sounded like one of those you will hear from Western films.
And again, great work on the sound effects throughout the episode.
