Synopsis
The Film Club is having issues with their collaborators, thankfully, some members of those clubs are open to criticism, and know how to compromise.
Story
For the first time, they showcased a character's past (Mizusaki's to be specific). And it was interesting to see Tsubame's growth in her animation skills (thanks to her grandma throwing some leftover tea).
This episode also continued to teach us regarding sound effects, and it's about knowing the timing and changing the volume as the dialogue should have more.
And speaking of dialogues, there's also the importance of having the right emphasis in voice acting, which the Robot Club has taken the role, and clearly needs to be polished.
Characters
The opening scene put a smile on my face, 'cause what I was yearning for them to do had finally happened.
In my episode 5 review, I wrote there how I wanted them to show other characters (eg: family members), and in this episode, they revealed Tsubame's mom and grandma. Hopefully next time we will get to see Kanamori's family!
Speaking of Tsubame, it became more obvious how she's not familiar with the things the middle-class people have knowledge about. Not that it's a bad thing though, everyone has things they're not familiar with, right?
It also shocked me to know Doumeki was actually a girl (so, I had to correct my review from the last episode, lol).
And finally, the Best Guest Actor award goes to Kubo, she embodied everything how a collaborator should be -- well-composed and understanding.
Writing / Storyboarding
I'll just post here two dialogues which stated a fact regarding the other roles of a director and producer:
Kanamori:
A director needs to be able to give directions to other artists.
Midori:
Isn't a producer supposed to develop a discerning eye?
And I would like to congratulate Midori after saying that, as it was a monumental moment for her:
Artwork / Animation
Tsubame's curiosity in detail of certain movements was definitely the highlight in this episode. Her passion was, in a way, contagious.
Music / Sound
I fell in love with the background theme w/ vocals the moment I heard it. It sounded like a tribal song, and it's just really beautiful.
PS: This looked like an ATField from
