Synopsis
Nikaido has clashed with En and his gang but was unsuccessful in acquiring the cross-eyed man. Meanwhile, the doctors summarized to Caiman how Shin used to live in Hole.
Story
This was a flashback episode, mainly about Shin. I found his past in Hole to be disturbing and his existence there to be historical.
Talking about existence, it made me wonder if Caiman has really accepted Nikaido for who she really was, or was he still in denial.
Characters
We've found out En can go to rampage and the area he can cause damage to can be really expansive (almost killing Nikaido and his entire team).
Jonson, the creature at the end, had a weird personality. He seemed to be a pet, but not as loyal as compared to a dog, as it obeyed Caiman as well.
Writing / Storyboarding
I was really amused and amazed by the concepts in this episode. First, the instant pizza, I laughed at how everything happened so fast -- from ordering to delivering. If it was used as a concept for a pizza commercial, I'm telling you, it will definitely work.
The second was the part where Nikaido was kidnapped. The rain was pouring so hard and yet Caiman was able to hear her scream. I thought it was a brilliant idea, 'cause it showed how Caiman was attentive to Nikaido's presence.
And last was... again, this made me laugh, Caiman fleeing out of fear from Jonson. Seeing how frightening and brave Caiman was, I thought he will have a brawl with the giant creature until one of them has collapsed. But, in the end, he decided to run away, and it was just really hilarious.
Artwork / Animation
Jonson's monster design was scary and funny at the same time. I mean, look at his shoes:
The animation was yet again superb -- Nikaido's battle scenes were so effin' fantastic (especially the direct punch on En's face!)
Music / Sound
The battle theme in the fight between Noi and Nikaido has a haunting vibe. And the sound effects used throughout Nikaido's intrusion (windows breaking, explosions, falling debris, etc.) were really done well.
PS: Here's a young Nikaido selling gyoza...
