Synopsis
A look at the daily life of a cat named Tama, and his other friends from the Third District.
Story
There's really no solid plot this anime follows, but on the latter part, some background stories will be shown. All episodes contain 2-3 short animations (excluding episode eight), which can be educational and hilarious at the same time. There's a touch of drama and also fantasy (watch out for the character named Beh) in this show.
As an animal lover, there were things I didn't know, which I learned from watching this, like AIBO and umm... the trivia between civets and coffee on the last episode (google this if you don't have time to watch).
Characters
Even though the main character was Tama, to be honest, the stray cat Nora has a more interesting storyline and better character development.
But thinking that this was more targeted to kids, a lighthearted cat would definitely be more appealing to them.
As for my most favorite character, I chose Beh. I think he's the most fascinating one. I mean, he's a cat that delivers newspapers (lol), plus he has this worry-free, guileless aura. And that teleportation power that he has... It's not clear why he has that. And for some reason, I'm not bothered it wasn't even explained. It's like the creator just made him like that and wants us to just enjoy watching him do whatever he wants, including transporting unknown entities!
(Character Designer:
Hey! Here's a cat who has some superpowers, enjoy!

Writing / Storyboarding
Some episodes have musical scenes. The characters will suddenly start to sing or rap, and it's just too cute/funny to watch.
And throughout the whole season, you'll appreciate the effort of the writers as you can tell they really did research about the behavior of our household pets.
Artwork / Animation
Nothing out of the ordinary here. Very simplistic art and animation. And for the character designs, I'll give them a 'B' for the human art form.
Music / Sound
The opening was a really playful song, you can jive with it or skip it if you like. But for the closing credits, its much better if you watch it 'cause all episodes have different ending songs/animations.
