Synopsis
Somali and her friend were accompanied by a member of the Tsuchinoko Team to gather a Yozame flower that grants wishes.
Story
This episode had the most serious tone compared to the rest so far. Somali getting scolded which I thought would never happen, 'cause Golem lacked emotions. But then, some things can do change when you've been with someone that can alter what you thought was your fixed personality.
I have a feeling we're gearing towards more dramatic episodes like this, and I'm up for it.
Characters
I have a bit of dislike to Kikila, 'cause it was him who put Somali to danger, but they're kids so yeah... They can be really adventurous and lacking in wisdom.
Though I had a change of heart when he jumped forward without any hesitation to protect Somali from the tsuchilizard.
And Muthrica, the wolf-looking guy from the last episode made a huge impact by delivering the best lines.
Writing / Storyboarding
This may not be memorable, but the scene where Golem went out to buy medicine and was asked for what clan, was for me had the best writing.
The pause that he made after being questioned and him showing the money so that their conversation would just end, when the seller insisted him to say what clan he needed the medicine for, was enough for him to be suspected of hiding something.
And that for me was the climax of this episode.
Artwork / Animation
More of the underground of Anthole City was shown, and I really liked the color schemes they used:
Large Tsuchiami Tree
Music / Sound
The dramatic violin music being played while Golem was searching for medicine was enthralling.
