Synopsis
Both parties looked for important people who can help them find what they were after.
Story
The majority of the screen time was given to En's team, and to be honest, they nailed all their scenes. It was full of shock and surprises. I have actually forgotten about our protagonists for a bit.
This episode also featured some twists: from the sorcerer inside Kaiman, to the magician who can revive the dead which turned out to be some kind of an animal, up to the young-looking doctor who was able to make a door that's connected to the world of magic users. In short, they gave us so much on this fourth chapter of the series.
Characters
Just how unfortunate Ebisu was? She almost died again! (lol). Thankfully, Noi was nearby to heal her (and Fujita) back to normal.
(We finally got to see her face looking so calm...)
Another question for her: Exactly how strong she is? Sure she unknowingly took a power booster and accidentally killed someone, but even without it, I think she has powerful magic.
En on the other hand found a pet instead of a bride. Speaking of the boss, he mentioned he wanted to marry someone who can control time. (
Hmm, Akemi from Puella Magica seems a good candidate, but I surely don't want her for him.)
And for our lizard guy, when he told Nikaido that they will be friends no matter what happens, I think that's a sign that he has accepted her even if she had hidden a secret from him.
Writing / Storyboarding
The part where Ebisu found a box had such a great script. I mean, from finding a clue to finding themselves being almost killed in an instant... that one really had shock value.
(
When Ebisu and Fujita screamed, it made me wonder whose voice had a higher pitch. /lol)
Artwork / Animation
There were amazing building designs in the opening, but what caught my interest was this restaurant located in the middle of a forest:
(The art for the trees looked like a painting.)
And the animation when Shin and Noi did their attack combo... that one was so flawless.
Music / Sound
We had a huge mix of music this time, it's like a quarter of the anime's OST were played here.
